Fashion Production Final Project

I'm finally done with school! Again. Hehe :)
For those who don't know, I finished Banking & Finance last year.
And then last September, I finished Fashion Design. Whew!
Hmmmm.. What should I study now? Haha :D

Anyway, I'll share with you my final project in FashProd.
We were tasked to create a collection & present a final garment.
We didn't have to make the garment on our own, but I wanted to practice my sewing & pattern-making skills :)

For my collection, this was my mood board :)
As you can see, the colors for my collection are those above.
Honey, Hyacinth, Ink, Sandstone, & Tiffany Blue.
And it is inspired by pipes, stones & rocks. :)

I'm not good at illustration. Good thing, we can use photos downloaded from the internet! Haha :D
Oh and for the collection, the minimum garment required is 1. Hihi. :)
Cause the point of the project is for us to show that we have actually learned everything there is to know about production. Like doing the costings, the spec sheets, and many more! :D

Here are my costings. I won't show the spec sheets and others anymore. Hehe.  I have just three garments for my collection, by the way. :)

And for my actual garment, I made this! :D

Yup! I made that skirt! Hihi. Starting from the pattern, to cutting & sewing, & finally embellishing. :)
I haven't worn it yet cause it will make my hips look wider than they already are. Haha.
I'll wear it soon (I'm practicing proper diet already).
Maybe next week. Or maybe next year. Haha :D

Goodnightee, everyone! :)

One Headband More

So yesterday I said I'll make a new headband. Here it is! :D
So first, prepare your materials :)
 Needle, Thread & Scissors
 Ribbons of your choice
 Garter & Bias Tape
 Embellishments!
And listen to music while you're working ^_^
Yesterday, I made a playlist filled with love songs. Hehe.
Some of them are old songs already.. Like this one :D
Okay, so cut the ribbons & garter.
Try to envision how you want the headband to look like.
 Then sew away! :D
 Ta dah!!! New headband :D
 Cute, right? ^_^

Emo Bracelet

So yesterday, I was making cute little bows.
Click HERE for the post about it.
And awhile ago, I remembered someone who wears bow ties!
See how handsome he is? I ♡ Ed Westwick :)
Okay, back to reality. Haha.
If you read my post yesterday.. Remember the flower-like thingy?
The last picture? This is how I made it.
First, cut a ribbon. Around 4-6 inches.
Then make a running stitch along the edge.
Then pull the thread! See, it kinda looks like a flower already :D
Then lock the stitches. I think I made like 3 knots.
Then get something to cover the stitches.
You could use buttons or cute stones like these.
Sew it on top. See! It's so easy :)
By the way, I got this idea from my mom :)
She is so creative! I'm so lucky to have her as my mom :)

Okay, now let's do something cute! :D
First, measure your wrist.
Then cut ribbons of that length.
*don't forget to add a bit of allowance
Then lay out the flowers & bows.
Try to see how you want them to look like :)
And listen to music! Haha :D
Right now, I'm loving Superman by Taylor Swift :)
Okay, now sew on garter at the back of the ribbon.
See? No need for locks :D
Then sew on the embellishments :)
And there you have it, new bracelets!
What's good with them, you can wear them separately.
Mix & match them with your other bracelets :D
They kinda look like Emo bracelets. Cause of the color :D
